These are the days…
Family photography is a true passion of mine. Maybe it’s because I’m right in the thick of it with my two boys as well but I just have this incredibly desire to preserve family memories. I truly believe family photography is the best gift we can give each other. Don’t wait for the perfect age or postpone it because you have an unpredictable toddler or maybe an insecure teenager. I am confident that we’ll make it work and capture some beautiful memories for you to cherish.
My style is very relaxed and always child-led. I want you to walk away from a session thinking: oh this was fun! I want your kids to simply enjoy playing with their parents and siblings. Of course I come equipped with ideas of how to create beautifully composed images and will give direction in terms of where to position yourselves for light etc. But really this session is about you and your family. Just as you are - because that’s where the magic is!

In my personal opinion there perfect time is now. Why? If you keep waiting for the perfect time you run the risk of just keeping postponing it and within the blink of an eye another year will be gone and you missed capturing this special time. Kids grow up fast - make it an annual activity!

All we need is windows. I have been photographing families in various different style homes and each worked out brilliantly. I have also prepared a blog post to help you prepare your home for a session.

I have two young boys myself and am well aware of how important it is to make it fun for them. I would suggest incorporating some of their favourite activities into the session. It’s also important to give them a break every now and again if gets too much for them. But really don’t worry! I love to capture all the emotions - they’ll be priceless in years to come.
